Unloading is one of the fastest technological processes connected with the big-bag usage. There are a few general ways of unloading.
Unloading of containers can be performed with the help of gravity method or by pneumatic transport.
Unloading can be performed only when the Big Bags are in a stable position on the supporting frame or on special holding devices.
Basically, the way and the order of unloading completely depend on its design.
Before unloading the container, it is necessary to fix the inner polyethylene liner so that it does not get into the receiving bin together with the product itself.
Depending on the big bags’ type and their design, unloading can be carried out in the following ways:
through the unloading hatch, in this case, a dosed discharge can be made, the discharge speed is regulated by the size of the hatches used;
cutting of the bottom with a special knife on a long handle;
bottom cutting with a special cut-off device;
with the use of a pneumatic pump through the top of the container;
overturning (canting);
by the bottom opening (in containers with unfolding bottom).
Soft containers of multiple applications are unloaded with the help of a pneumatic pump or through the lower unloading hatch. After untying the hatch, the liner is cut with a knife on the long handle and empting is carried out. After that, the liner is removed from the container. In units with a dischargeable top with the liner, the discharge is taking place immediately after the unloading hatch is untied.
The unloaded polypropylene container is subjected to culling. Herewith, the soft container of single use after its removal from the hutch stops to exist as a container and goes into the category of waste. Other SCs (with higher safety factor) can be subjected to recrudescent industrial use.
